Tagung Flächenmanagement – Immobilien für Eisenbahn-Infrastrukturprojekte

When planning and implementing infrastructure (new construction, conversion and expansion of rail and road facilities), extensive knowledge is required in the handling of constitutionally protected property.

For customer-, performance- and cost-oriented planning and project management, area managers, project managers and project engineers in particular must deal intensively with issues relating to the use of railroad and third-party land, the development and evaluation of land and environmental impact assessments. The issues of planning approval, expropriation and expropriation compensation are difficult to consider and solutions must be found.

Even though the conference is primarily dedicated to issues relating to railroad infrastructure, experts from the road construction authorities are also addressed, as the legal treatment for both infrastructure sectors is very similar.

Railway Diagnostic and Monitoring Conference 2024

The Railway Diagnostics and Monitoring Conference (RDMC) will take place again: After the event in April 2023, the conference will be held again on April 17-18, 2024, at the Hotel Mondial am Dom, Cologne.

The program is dedicated to current developments and experiences in the monitoring of rail vehicles. This time, a special focus will again be on the assignability of the collected data to individual assets as well as the exchange of data and findings between different stakeholders: who collects which data, to whom is it made available, who uses the data? Who uses the data for what purpose and with what benefit? Accordingly, the topic is important for infrastructure operators as well as for transport companies and wagon owners, but also for original equipment manufacturers and maintenance companies.

However, the focus is not only on technology, but also on use cases and best practice examples – both from Europe and overseas. The first day of the conference offers exciting presentations with a concluding networking dinner. More presentations will follow on the second day of the conference.

This RDMC will again be held in a hybrid format. The program will be slightly modified for virtual attendees.
